Our Mission
Founded in 1961, Eurogypsum is a European federation of national associations of gypsum products manufacturers, based in Brussels and registered in Belgium as an AISBL (International Non-Profit Association). Its role is to promote the interests of the European Gypsum Industry and ensure that there is awareness at a European level of the contribution the Gypsum Industry makes to society in general and to the built environment in particular.
It does this through joint projects on relevant scientific, technical, economic and legal matters and by initiating information and communication programmes. Particular emphasis is placed on building a constructive and efficient dialogue with the European Institutions (Commission, European Parliament and Council) in all subjects directly related to the competitiveness of the Gypsum Industry.

Our Assets
Gypsum represents a positive answer to the complex environmental equation of the beginning of this century; let it be in relation to its raw materials extraction or to the use of gypsum products in buildings and to their recycling at the end of their life-cycle. Gypsum further provides safety, comfort and convenience to the built environment.
Gypsum is a healthy resource:
- Gypsum is a sustainable material;
- Gypsum cannot burn;
- Gypsum does not contain any hazardous substances and is thus non-toxic and non-eco-toxic;
- Gypsum is eternally recyclable;
